Planting our hedges is very straight forward. Use this guide to help you.
1) Firstly measure how long the proposed hedge needs to be (our hedges are all sold in 1 metre troughs).
2) Mark out where you want to plant the hedge using site marker spray or string
3) Dig a trench, around 40cm deep and 40 cm wide. Make sure the last 10cm is loose
4) Cut the bag of the pre grown hedge - use a Stanley knife
5) Before you place the pre grown hedge in the trench ideally you should sprinkle RootGrow in the bottom, this can also be purchased from us. RootGrow is a Mycorrhizal Fungi which greatly increases the surface area of the roots. For more information please visit their website.
6) Once you have placed the hedge in the trench making sure the soil level in the pre grown hedge is the same as the ground either side of the trench, back fill with fine/loose soil. Compress the back fill using your boot or a piece of wood.
